Stylish. Head turner
Looks great! Price even greater! Performs good, better than what I expected in rain and snow. Wears a bit fast though. Bought these twice, would buy again
Not sure about the tires
Because Simple tire is the worst. Left me stranded as all tires were not received. When they finally addressed one tire that was lost they attempted to send me a replacement, then cancelled that order due to it being out of stock..... but no one contacted me to tell me it was out of stock. After returning the tires I was assured I wouldn't be charged the restocking fee since it was their fault for the sale not going through, but then charged me the restocking fee.... so then I had to go back and fight for that. Through all of this the fourth tire was found and sent to the address where my car had been stranded. So then I had to find a way to get back to that address, get the tire and ship it back. They still charged me the restocking fee on this fourth tire. Pure nightmare interaction. Went back to tire rack after shipping the first batch of tires back, received those tires in two days as promised and installed the same week. Will never deal with Simple Tire again, and will never recommend them.....ever..... I'll actively promote how bad they are instead. Go elsewhere, save yourself.
Great tires
Just had four fitted to my Sq5 previous were Pirelli the price for four is so cheap in comparison but u honestly believe I get better feed back with the Radar tyres would buy again def.
Wrote a review last week and posted it about these tires 'cupping' almost from the 'get go' and now getting louder and very annoying after a little over 8300 miles. The earlier review to date has not been posted, maybe because it was 'negative'. Wonder if this one will 'get lost', as well.
Almost always do a wheel alignment before installing a new set of tires. Did so at my BMW Dealer for my 2014 BMW X5 on November 26, 2018 at 52752 miles, just before having two new Radar Dimax R8+, 275/40R-20, Run Flats, installed on December 10, 2018 at 53304 miles onto the front end of the vehicle. Almost immediately started noticing more noise than my previous set of tires in the form of a 'wa-wa-wa-etc' coming from the front end of the car. This sound progressed as the use miles increased to the point that it was becoming very distracting and knew something was wrong and getting worse. Physical examination indicated 'cupping' on the inside edges of both tires. Am now at a little over 8300 miles on these tires, the sound being so annoying that replacements are being considered and evaluated. Contacted Simpletire on May 16, 2019 who referred me to my local Firestone Dealer to have the tires 'checked out. Firestone confirmed the noise and 'excessive' cupping, vehicle alignment had been done and in spec, and that no loose front end parts found, The inspector further recommended 'replacing both front tires'. The report was forwarded to Simpletire who advised me on May 17, 2019, that there was nothing they could do and to contact the manufacturer, Omni United USA in Charlevoix, Michigan, to file a direct claim with them. Have spent several days since the 17th calling the manufacturer, leaving messages; yet to talk to anyone in their warranty department about this issue. Additional info: Have rotated the tires once since the installation, the rear R8+ tires were installed at the same time as the fronts, no noise or 'cupping' observed coming from the rear tires, and the front tires DOT numbers indicate that the front tires were 3-years older than the rear tires (the rears being manufactured in 2018). In the meantime, am looking to replace the fronts with either Michelin Latitude Sport 3 ZP's or Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport RFT's. And, seeing if anyone from Omni gets back to me with a solution of their own.
Have about 2500 miles on these tires. They were easier/better than expected to balance; took less that 2.0 oz per side to balance. They have a great high-quality look and ride to match. So far, they have exceeded my expectations, which as a BMW X5 owner, is hard to do. Too early to tell about the tread life and/or the winter traction. My summary measure for any product is 'value'. So far, these tires are a better value than any tire I have owned.
I bought these to replace both my rear Bridgestone run flats on my Z4 that were damaged after a puncture thinking it may be ok since I'm not racing around with them. What a mistake. Maybe because these are non run flats their sidewalls are softer. The plus side is that when you go over small bumps it's not so harsh but the handling at 80 mph or higher feels scary and floating. The steering at slightly over 60 mph feels imprecise and feels like the car is unstable and almost wanders from left to right. Even in sport mode it's not much better. I wish I could return these. It makes the car terrible to drive. I would not recommended them at all.
